Intentionally, the music style of Quakvartet is unidentified, but in spite of this fact there is something unmistakably characteristic about it. The musicians use acoustic instruments, percussion and vocals, yet without the wish to produce songs. Human voice, namely, is just a change of sound, another fragrance, an evocation of deep timbres of the soul. The uniqueness of the band is based upon the individual contributions of each member constituting the whole. Something new comes to being during each performance of Quakvartet, and something vanishes. The fact alone that these musicians do not feel the urge to enter the show-business in the trendy ethno-folk garment, and by no means to imitate anything, can explain their rather difficult position. However, they are able to handle that in their own way. They do not expect a consumer-listener, but the audience can greatly influence things that are generated in the course of any Quakvartet session.
